The biggest shame for us was the privacy glass. We chose this house for the views as my mother had an operation and needed to rest while we had fun. She couldn’t see the sea at all unless she stood up-other properties in the same block had clear glassee more

There was everything you needed except oven gloves and a hand towel, you wouldn’t think to bring these.

The house is huge! It’s very nicely decorated and there was plenty of room for everyone. The off-street parking takes the street out of finding a spot and the location meant we could easily walk to all of Sandown’s amenities. We had two kids with us see more

We had two kids with us (6 and 3) and it worked well with them as we could put them in a twin room at the back of the house but still have a nice en-suite room next door for the parents. We had such a brilliant week, our third year in a row visiting the island, and will definitely try to book into this house again next year.

Honestly, it was just lovely! We were very impressed. If pushed, it would have been nice to have some oven gloves and some plastic/picnic crockery/cups etc that we could use for the kids and possibly for on the balconies.

Thank you for your review, We're glad you enjoyed your stay in the house, we do appreciate all feedback and have spoken with the cleaning team about the situation with the pans, it is regretful that the previous guest had not left the pans in the greatest condition before they departed, and where your own stay following theirs was a back to back booking, it left the cleaning team a short window in order to get the town house fully changed over. Any crockery cutlery etc that was left dirty, had been put in the dishwasher, to ensure that the house could be worked upon, but we appreciate the wash cycle was not fully succesful in removing the dirt from the pans completley, We have this noted and will be working with the team on what can be done to stop this happening in future. We hope it didn't impact to negatively on your stay. and hope that we can welcome you back to the Island again in the future.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a brilliant time. The house is so well equipped, is in a perfect position for the beach, playground, amusements and Island attractions. The whole family really loved the house. It is across 4 floors so we are all a littsee more

The whole family really loved the house. It is across 4 floors so we are all a little bit fitter now having climbed more stairs than usual. There is also some building works next door but we barely heard anything at all.

Thank you very much for the holiday stay at Colonels House we had a lovely relaxing time, the view across the bay are top notch and the accommodation is outstanding, extremely spacious and very quiet even blocking out the road noise from below. I higsee more

I highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here as it is well worth the price, it is well situated mere footsteps from the beach and only a few minutes walk into Sandown town and attractions themselves.
